Topone Biotechnology Research Center was established in August 2015. It currently co-builds a joint laboratory with the HK Polytechnic University Jinjiang Research Institude and has launched multiple collaborative projects. The center has also established industry-academia-research partnerships with institutions such as Quanzhou Normal University and Fuzhou University, and set up specialized practice bases.


Covering nearly 800 square meters, the center is divided into four main sections: physics, chemistry, microbiology, and food preservation. Since 2015, the laboratory has undertaken research and development for the Quanzhou Science and Technology Program in 2015 and the Jinjiang Science and Technology Program in 2017. The company has filed 185 patent applications, of which 154 have been granted, including 18 invention patents, 132 utility model patents, and 3 design patents. The center has supported the company's application for recognition as a Fujian Provincial Science and Technology Giant Enterprise, and helped the company earn titles such as Fujian Provincial High-Tech Enterprise, National High-Tech Enterprise, and Quanzhou New-Type R&D Institution.
